European recognition of the quality of research and pharmaceutical, medical expertise of the Lille health campus. In many fields, this campus is unique in Europe.
The arrival of the EMA in Lille would represent a real opportunity for this unique ecosystem, which could deepen its expertise and offer new research opportunities.
Lille is a young, dynamic city that is evolving: This dynamic is attractive. From a scientific, logistics (capacity to host the agency) and living environment point of view, the city has all the necessary assets to receive all the agency’s employees. Lille also has all the facilities and services (accommodation, schools, universities, health, cultural, religious, etc.) to accommodate the families of the Agency’s employees.
Another strength: the proximity to London, which ensures that the Agency’s employees who still have their families in the British capital can easily get there. The proximity to the Paris airport also ensures easy international connections, as well as European connections with the TGV.
The proximity to Paris and Île-de-France, where many agencies and head offices are located, is also a real asset.
We wish to establish links with the Agency, both in terms of training prospects and jobs for our students, and the development of collaborations, expertise and research.
We are also hoping the presence of the EMA will be a driving force in terms of brand image, attraction of economic partners. The establishment of the agency will strengthen the health cluster and, beyond that, the recently certified I-SITE. The presence would offer Lille improved visibility at the European level.
